Based on the physical, emotional, culture and social needs of every child that comes through our doors. The Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora provides diversified activities that meet the interests of all young people. Our programs include:
Character & Leadership Education: These programshelp youth become responsible and caring citizens. Youth also develop leadership skills and gain opportunities for planning, decision-making, giving back to the community and celebrating our national heritage.
Education & Career Development: Our services reinforce and enhance the skills young people acquire during school. Programs help kids explore their career interests, develop their skills for employment, and apply their knowledge to real-world work experiences.
Health & Wellness: These activities develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors to nurture their well-being, set personal goals and grow into self-sufficient adults. Services help kids resist high-risk activities such as alcohol, tobacco, and drug use.
The Arts: Our programs encourage kids to develop their artistic skills through visual and performing arts. Services such as pottery, instrument, drawing, and sculpting lessons foster creativity in young people, and give them outlets for self-expression.
Sports & Recreation: Daily athletic leagues are provided for youth development of all ages that promote fitness, teamwork, skill development, leadership, and sportsmanship. The goal of all leagues are to keep kids active for a minimum of 60 minutes a day.
Summer Programming: Camp Ska-No-Ka-San and the School-Age program offer kids a safe place during the summer months to stay active and have fun. It provides youth with an opportunity to interact and participate in a variety of activities that improve their social development and build self-esteem.
